About PMAG

Uniting physicians with physicians to provide the best patient-centered health care to the people of Hawaii.

In 1988, PMAG was established in Hawaii to support independent physicians in providing high quality, cost effective healthcare to their patients. Almost 30 years later, PMAG continues its commitment to this mission. In today’s healthcare industry, increasing costs, limited information sharing and silos of care result in fragmented and inconsistent patient care. PMAG provides one of the largest networks of high quality physicians, support and resources to its member physicians to prepare for payment transformation and ensure successful, sustainable practices.

PMAG provides its member physicians with services to meet the changing landscape in healthcare. In collaboration with Partners for Quality Health (PQH), a Management Services Organization (MSO), physicians have exclusive services that help independent practices actualize their potential, thrive as a business and continue to prioritize high quality care for patients and the community. PQH helps physicians to navigate value-based health care by minimizing the risks and mitigating the unknowns of practice transformation through education, training, technical support, and resources. Services include out-of-network referral management, patient support resources, practice management support as well as staff and physician training opportunities. In addition, PQH provides services to maximize insurance-based Pay for Quality (P4Q) incentives and achieve Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition or certification.

Improving patient care is at the heart of PMAG. Through collaboration, PMAG physicians are developing solutions to fragmented and inconsistent care and leading the way to providing the highest quality patient centered care to the people of Hawaii.
