Dr Tam entered medical school after becoming a professional engineer and finishing his
master’s degree in electrical engineering. He moved to Minnesota where he worked at a
satellite clinic of the Mayo clinic. After meeting his wife he moved to San Diego and worked at
Scripps clinic, before moving to the San Francisco Bay area where he practiced medicine as
a family doctor for almost two decades. He looks forward to running his medical practice with a
special emphasis on Chinese speaking patients in Honolulu where he lives with his wife.
